Asian Zone Preliminary Round Draw for Brazil 2014

The Asian Zone preliminary round draw for Brazil 2014 was held last March 30, 2011 at the Asian Football Confederation headquarters. The teams for the first round and second round qualifiers was drawn.

Round 1 consisted of the 16 lowest ranking teams who will be playing in a home-and-away series. Winners will go on to play in the ties on June 29 and July 3, 2011. The eight winners will progress to join another 22 sides in Round 2, where 15 two-legged ties will be held on July 23 and 28, 2011. The top five Asian teams which are Japan, Korea Republic, Bahrain, Australia and Korea DPR will automatically enter in Round 3. Round 3 asian preliminaries will be held in Rio de Janeiro on July 30, 2011.
